As you know more and more people are joining the Android community as well as all the apps get updated frequently with new features. Hence I have tried to explain all these app in as much details as I could. Now let’s head on over to the main point.
Top 4 Best Android Apps
1. File Manager
The first app in the list is the ES file explorer. This is one of the best file manager for Android. Most of the devices have a file manager by default but does not fulfill all the functions like extracting .zip files, embracing folders, etc. So this app will act as an all-in-one file manager for you and if you’re routed you can view and edit your system files as well. So this is the interface you can slide to jump to other windows like network, homepage and others. At the homepage you can see all the information about the file that are on your device, uses information of the internal and your external storage, tools and your bookmarks for your different file types. Back to the main page, you can tap on the above icon in the image given below to view the files under internal or your external memory. At the bottom you have options to create a new file or folder, search, refresh, change the view style and active windows. Active windows where you can see all the open folders and clipboard is where you have all your copied files so that you can paste it on any other location.
To move or edit any files simply tap and hold and make sure you have the options to copy, delete, rename and a lot of other options like hide, chromecast, where you can play your music folders. We have many other options like encrypt or decrypt, compress any folder if you want to or extract if it’s a compressed folder. You can move files to other locations and also select all the files by tapping at the top option, In case if you need to copy all the files to a different location you can simply do it from there. At the top left corner, we have a slider menu for various other options:
Favorites: Favorites where you can see all your favorite bookmarks.
Local: Local for Local storage locations.
Library: Library for viewing the files of different types.
Network: Networks for transferring files
Tools: For managing downloads
Root explorer: Root explorer is to view and edit the system files and folders.
Gestures: Gestures for creating gestures to quickly perform any task like launching an app or going to any specific folder. For example: if you draw “M” it will takes you to the music folder.
Theme settings: Theme settings for customizing the UI of this app.
Setting: Setting for display directory, windows, etc.
We have other options like LAN, Bluetooth, Music player, Hidden list, Recycle bin option, and also cloud storage. It also has options to show and hide the hidden files and folders. The key feature of this app is that it comes with its own audio player, video player, web browser and file extractor or compressor so that you will not have to open any other apps for different file types. You can also add a shortcut to any folder on your home screen by placing a widget. So this is all in one application for file management.
The Next one here is the Airdroid, which lets you quickly transfer files and foldersfrom your computer to your phone as well as let you know your notifications or view your phone’s content on your computer. You can either choose to go to a website from your computer or download an app for both Mac and PC to use this service. I suggest its easier to connect with the computer as its automatically logs in and then connects with your device on boot and you don’t have to type the web address or scan the QR code every now and then. If you have a notification to respond or turn on the do not disturb mode. You can also mirrored the third party apps like WhatsApp on your computer screen to respond to any notifications but you must be do that to use the service. So if you see on the left you have all your contacts, call logs, messages, file transfer and My profile where you can see the list of the devices using this app. At the bottom we have three options to go to the web page mode, give feedback and go to the settings.
Contacts, Call logs, Messages
Let me give you the quick example here. If you receive a call on your phone and you see a notification on your computer with the ringtone. You can answer the call directly from your computer, mute the call, decline the call, respond call with a quick message. If you miss a call on your phone, you will have a notification on your computer as well. Similarly if you receive a text then you can reply to your message directly from the app. For now only the texting is supported from the computer but with the future updates you will be able to call from your computer as well.
On the file transfer wizard you can drag any files and folders to transfer between your phone and the computer.
Back to phone, we have connectivity status and below we have options like file transfer to transfer files between your phone and your computer.
The next one here is the Mobdro, the app will bring free Tv service to your phone that means you can watch any program via this app. However, you won’t find this app on the play store but I am leaving an official link here to install this app and with the latest update of this app now it supports chrome cast which is amazing. As you can see in the image below we have a list of our favorite channels and on top we have categories like News, Tv Shows, Movies, Sports, etc. Below that we have all recently view channels and at the top we have drop down option to jump to home, Search, Categories, Favorites, Recent, Downloads and Go premium.
Downloads: By downloads it means you can download the TV contents from the app but it requires the pro version.
The next one here is Twilight. Phones with big screens are very enjoyable watching videos, reading, browsing or playing games but when we use our phones in low lights especially at night even at the lowest brightness, its uneasy for our eyes. So with this app you can control the display of your device like you can control the color temperature, intensity, and dimming of the screen so that you can enjoy your display at any lighting conditions. At the top you can pause the app and add different profiles like you can give a different display setting for a sunlight profile, Bedtime reading and so on. Below that you have the options to quickly preview how the setting looks. You can set your color temperature, intensity, screen dim and also set the back light control to auto. So this is very handy application as it considers the colors of blue light and protect your eyes with a soft and a pleasant red filter.
